Jerry Price was appointed Police Chief for the La Habra Police Department, on August 9, 2013. Chief Price began his law enforcement career with the Department in 1991, advancing through the ranks, serving as an Officer before being promoted to Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, as well as serving as Acting Chief of Police.
Chief Price has been the consummate law enforcement professional during his 28 years in uniform, providing a positive example for his colleagues and serving the La Habra community with pride. He has been responsible for the management of multiple bureaus within the Department, over the course of his career and has served as a member of the North Orange County SWAT, its Crisis Negotiation Team, and as SWAT Commander.
He has also actively helped prepare others for success in law enforcement, serving as the Explorer Post Advisor and Coordinator and assisting with the professional development of La Habra's future officers. Known for his dedication to strong customer service, Chief Price has earned many accolades for his service to the community throughout the years, including awards and citations from not only the La Habra Police Department, but also outside law enforcement agencies as well.
Chief Price is married with two children. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Cal Poly Pomona.
