Member Terms

The residents of La Habra are represented by a 5-member City Council. The members of the City Council are elected on an at-large basis to 4-year terms. There are no term limits.

Elections

Regular City Council elections occur in even years and coincide with the Statewide General Election. Each year, the members of the City Council choose 1 member to serve as Mayor and 1 member to serve as Mayor Pro Tem. The Mayor Pro Tem acts in the Mayor’s place when absent.
