Veronica Lopez was hired in November 1995 as a Part Time Clerk in the City's Employment and Training Division. After finishing high school she was hired on full time as a Clerk Typist. While working for the Employment and Training Division, Veronica received many customer service awards. Veronica was hired as an Intermediate Clerk in 2004 and was promoted to Senior Clerk in 2006 in the Building and Safety Division. Veronica obtained her ICC Permit Technician Certification in January 2009 and a Certificate in Residential Blue Print Reading in May 2010. Due to her great customer service skills, Veronica has continued to amass various accolades, including multiple Customer Service Awards and as a member of the Building and Safety Division, the City Managers Award and Department of the Year Award. In 2015, Veronica was promoted to Community and Economic Development Secretary and then in 2021 she was reclassified to Administrative Assistant and Planning Commission Secretary.
