City of La Habra Battery Collection Program
The City has a new and updated program to collect household batteries. Here is some basic information on our program:
- Dropoff locations
- Collection Point #1 – La Habra Community Center, 101 W La Habra Boulevard, La Habra, CA; Open 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday through Friday.
- Collection Point #2 – La Habra City Hall, Public Works Counter, 110 E La Habra Boulevard, La Habra, CA; Open 7:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday.
- What is accepted?
- All household batteries up to 9 volts. This includes AAA, AA, C, D, button cells, or any other batteries that look like the ones shown below:

- What is NOT accepted?
- All household batteries larger than 9 volts.
- Lithium-Ion batteries, cell phone batteries, laptop Batteries.
- Other locations to take household batteries to:
- Location 1 – County of Orange HHW Collection Center. Open 5 days a week from 9am to 3pm Tuesday through Saturday. Located at 1071 N Blue Gum Street, Anaheim.
- Location 2 – La Habra HHW Events. Held twice a year on the 3rd Saturday in May, and the 3rd Saturday in October from 8am to 12pm. Events are located at 621 W Lambert Road, La Habra, CA.
- Mini-buckets are now available.
- La Habra is giving away mini battery buckets for residents to store batteries in at their homes. These mini-buckets are provided to La Habra residents only. If someone is interested in getting a mini-bucket, please contact the Public Works Department at 562-383-4170. Make sure to bring verification of residency.
