Museum on the Go!

No bus? No problem! Let us bring the museum to YOU. The Children's Museum at La Habra is now offering classroom workshops and pop up museum exhibits right at your school site or event space. Choose from either workshop style or festival style based on your needs. All rentals include live insect meet & greets and unique, exhibit-quality elements for STEAM/sensory play. 

Workshops consist of a 30-minute lesson/activity + 30 minutes of free play in our pop-up exhibit. Guided by trained museum staff, children will construct knowledge through hands-on, standards-aligned activities in a variety of themes.

Our festival-style setup is perfect as part of your back to school night, birthday party, day camp, homeschool group, library program, or special event! Meet one of our insect ambassadors, make your imagination come to life with our Rigamajig engineering kit, dig for fossils in our mini dino digsite, and more! Our festival setup can accommodate approximately 100 drop-in guests per hour. Ready to take it to the next level? Add one of our optional STEAM crafts!

Festival pricing: $425.00/2 hours (minimum of 2 hours); $75.00 for each additional hour.

For an additional fee, add one of our optional crafts: Nebula Spin Paintings and Animal Tracks. Crafts are $35.00 per 50 guests and include all materials and staff guidance. 

Our exhibits and supplies are packed into a trailer, which is towed by a truck. We need minimum clearance of 72" high and 84" wide. Our vehicle must be able to pull up close to the designated set up spot so we can unload our equipment. All rentals require a minimum 20' by 20' open area. In addition, workshops require six 6' tables for your guided activity. A typical classroom space is not adequate for the workshop. Lunch tables or folding tables are good options.

We reserve the right to reschedule in case of inclement weather, if no indoor alternative is provided.
