Gift Store Hours

The gift store is open during the hours of operation and closes one hour before the museum. The Imagination Station gift shop offers a variety of affordable toys, games, and educational materials for the young shopper. 

Busy Times

The Museum conducts weekday group tours between the hours of 9 am. – 1 pm. You may call Visitor Services at 562-905-9693 to check the tour schedule. Tour schedules are subject to change without notice.

Lost & Found Policy

The Museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost and found articles will be held for up to 2 weeks.

ASTC Passport Program

If you are a visiting member from a reciprocal institution (science centers / museums located outside of 90 miles "as the crow flies" of the CMLH) and would like to receive free General Admission you must present a current Membership Card from an Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) institution and a valid photo id with proof of residence. Please visit the ASTC website for a complete listing of participating programs and restrictions.

Museums for All Initiative

Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain reduced admission simply by presenting their SNAP EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefit Transfer) card and photo ID. Through Museums for All, admission to the museum is $3 per person for up to four visitors. There is no limit to how often you can visit through Museum's for All.
