Community Garden

The La Habra Harvesters Community Garden is located at San Miguel de Allende Park, 981 N. Euclid St. and includes 14 plots. Each plot is approximately 7ft. X 4ft. or 5ft. X 4ft. These plots are open to La Habra residents only for a period of 12 to 18 months. Rental space is free. Here are the garden rules:

• Gates must be locked after entering and leaving the gardens
• No altering the garden plot size
• Turn main water valve off when leaving garden
• No weeds or dead plant material may be maintained in the garden
• Pathways surrounding your plot must be kept clear
• No commercial gardening
• No storage or dumping of household items
• No metal of any kind (tomato cages and gardening tools are okay)
• Any wood stakes used must be 2” or smaller. Stakes cannot be cemented into the ground
• No tapping into the city’s water line. Watering must take place from a hose connection
• No plants over 4ft. high
• No trees of any kind
• No cactus are allowed in the plot, but Aloe Vera are allowed in pots only
• No rosebushes
• No bamboo
• No sugarcane
• No corn
• No bee boxes
• No automatic irrigation
• Registered gardener must be the person maintaining their garden
• Stealing will not be tolerated and will result in forfeiture of plot

In order to use a plot, an application must be completed and submitted to the Community Center. You may pick up an application at the Community Center, 101 W. La Habra Blvd., or you may click here to access an application that you can complete online.
