Join us to learn the answers to these questions and more at La Habra 101 – a FREE 8-week civics academy designed for La Habra residents.
Classes will be held each Thursday beginning April 16 through May 28 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at City Hall. A citywide tour and City Council recognition/graduation ceremony will occur on Monday, June 1, 2026.
The deadline to apply is April 1, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
Class size is limited to 30 participants.
Program Requirements:
- Applicants must be willing to commit to attending each session to receive a certificate of completion. Participants can miss one session and still receive a certificate of completion.
- Applicants must live in the City of La Habra.
- With the exception of two reserved student spaces, Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Only Applicants who have successfully applied and received confirmation of acceptance will be allowed to attend the academy classes.
- The program is restricted to new participants only and classes are limited to 30 registered participants that will be generally selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
